The Greek Cypriot Administration in Cyprus still uses the name of "Republic of Cyprus" as their own in the international arena and they claim the sole ownership of the island despite the considerable Turkish Cypriot population on the island. This is another propaganda tool used extensively to take away the rights (as established in 1960 treaties) of the Turkish Cypriot Community on the island. Unfortunately, the international community is eluded to believe that only Greek Cypriots have the right to represent the island.
However, to find a simple proof of Turkish Cypriots rights and to show how the Turkish Cypriots have been the "partners" of the Greek Cypriots in issues regarding the governance of the Republic of Cyprus (both internal and external domains), one just needs to take a look at the Cyprus Pound!
